Troubleshooting

Start with evidence that separates RE_Kenshi itself from Kenshi, a content mod, or an individual native plugin.

RE_Kenshi does not appear on the main menu

1. Confirm that you extracted the complete standard archive before running the installer.
2. Run the installer again and verify that it points to the intended Kenshi installation.
3. Start Kenshi normally and look for the RE_Kenshi version string on the main menu.
4. Check RE_Kenshi/RE_Kenshi.log for startup errors.

For supported Kenshi 1.0.68 installations, use the installer because it performs the required compatibility setup.

A plugin does not load

• Confirm that the plugin explicitly supports your RE_Kenshi and Kenshi versions.
• Follow that plugin author's folder and activation instructions.
• Do not combine a standalone injection edition with an RE_Kenshi edition unless the author explicitly supports it.
• Preserve the plugin-loading lines from the RE_Kenshi log when asking for help.

Reporting a bug

Include your Kenshi version, RE_Kenshi version, operating system, reproduction steps, expected result, actual result, and relevant log lines. Use the current reporting path named by BFrizzle on the upstream wiki or Nexus page.

Do not post private paths, account information, or unrelated logs.
