Getting started

RE_Kenshi extends Kenshi with native fixes, performance improvements, configurable gameplay behavior, and a C++ plugin system. The installer is the recommended way to add or update it.

The short path

1. Open the current release from the Download latest release link.
2. Download the standard archive and extract the complete archive to a temporary folder.
3. Run the included RE_Kenshi_vX.X.X.exe installer.
4. Follow the installer prompts and start Kenshi normally.
5. Confirm that an RE_Kenshi version string appears on the main menu.

After installation

Open Options → Mods → RE_Kenshi Settings from the main menu or the in-game Esc menu. Start with the defaults, then change only the behavior you understand and need.
